A slightly disapointing start to our world cup campaign, But there we go no change there, they do like to make one suffer, but we shall improve I hope? we had quite a good crowd at the Church for the match which we all enjoyed, lots of fun and food, we had a reasonable table top sale in aid of our christian School "Samuels" not sure how much was raised, but I personally sold afew things to boost my effort for the Church bulding fund by another forty pounds so cant grumble asa the crowd wasn't very large we must advertise these events better methinks, a rest day today after a rather hectic last few days, Not such a busy week ahead so have decided Thursday to go to the "Organ recital" that are currently running at All Saints church on Thursdays to listen for an hour of stirring music, this carries through to near the end of July so shall try to attend one or two as they are starring some of the most notable organists that we have in this country, this weeks is our very own from Peterborough Cathedral I believe, then shall have a look with a view to eat at the new Seafood retaurant opening on mondayin St Giles Street. then come next W?E Silverstone I'm hoping to catch one of thge practice days Motor cyckes that is so a nice gentle week I Hope tatty bye for now PtP

They always blame the goalie.....
ReplyDeleteSales tables seem to do well although probably up there same as down here, Folk need to look after their pennies in these times.
I remember organ recitals at lunch time at All Saints... pre 1965.
Poor Green was probably - like us, driven crazy by the constant buzzing of those hooters! We had to watch only and miss the commentary, it bothered our ears so much, the sound was turned off - any one have a fly swat?!
ReplyDeleteMusic is MUCH better and the organ recitals good - enjoy.
Your extra £40 sounds very good to me - well done!
well you did better than we did.... and we can't even blame Green. :)
