Whow another month bites the dust, where do they go , please someone tell me, I think someone is winding my time up to fast,, nice change yesterday spent the day visiting old friends, who now live in "Bethany" as I arrived was met at the front door with the welcome, you have arrived just right we have just started a prayer meeting, so was plunged in the deep end, and asked to give a short word as we prepared to pray, but was wonderful, joyful and trustingly productive, today have volounteered to cook a main course for "our ALPHA COURSE MEETING" as Broadmeads part in this national promotion, who will be meeting tonight at friends who live at Wilby, so shall be cooking and delivering "Phils special Lancashire hotpot" a meal that is condusive to this kind of meet and travel, so an interesting day at the kitchen stove with a slight pause to empty a neighbours flower pots and prepare them for winter planting.will make a refreshing midday chore, did mine Tuesday with early primula's and winter pansy, PS, for ozzy Birdy!! only 86 more days to the BIG one, PtP

Sunday 26th 2010 (late evening)
Spent a lovely (bitterly cold) day motorcycle racing practice dayon Friday. thoroughly enjoyable, and saw the top lads at work thrillingly super quick, much changed in the three years that due to health and other reasons have been unable to visit Silverstone, now they have secured all the top m/c race days both internationally and nationally, so trust shall be visiting a wee bit more reguarly in the future, and wonder of wonders, it was FREE, only pay on the actual race day (Sunday) couldn't believe it but very much appreciated by all and sundry, long may it go on.?? then Sat after my early morning prayers was off to visit London particuarly "The Metropolitan Tabernacle" again a great day that was tinged with a wee bit of sadness as I couldnt go into the main sanctuary because of a conference that was on,but did get some Good lierature and three Good books from their book shop which I look forward to reading in due course, Plus a lovely talk with one of the church members I met and was given a personal invitation to one of their services where i was told they were over 500 worshipers every week, plus an invite to free luncheon afterwards. I was told that would be the best way to look around as most saturdays were usually being used by many other churches and christian organization's so have decided to accept the invitation,on one sunday soon, spent a nice two or tree hours looking around central London, picked up two tickets for Cathy and to go up in November for the show. "Phantom of the Opera" then a spot of tea and then a good drive home to arrive after a full day at seven o clock, very tired but satisfied. was pleased at the selection of Ed milliband as the new leader of the party I support I think he will succeed, and hopefully one day lead our country altogether a pleasing and saisfying week end ptP.

TI havn'thursday Sept 23rd 2010
I havn't posted for a week or more, for no other reason than I have been very very busy on some new projects, and my church work has been joyfully loaded, plus more than a few social issues have been working on, so just to let you know I am still around and very much alive, we have been to the theatre to see "Chess" and thoroughly enjoyed it, we took cathy with us as she loves the theatre as much as we do, particuarly musicals, very recomendable, and enjoyable, a packed theatre shows that people (even in these difficult days) will support them providing they produce good theatre, we both (cathy and I) sadly Eileen feels shecannot sit through, are looking forward to the NAOP, production next months "Jesus Christ Superstar" one we have watched many times at various venue's and never been dissapointed, a fabulous musical, we have asked a very dear friend at fellowship part of our house group to come with us, and she expressed her delight she to classes it as one of her favourites to, so our little group grows aand I feel we shall add as the days go by we are concentrating at moment on the shared "Alpha" courses running at many of our local churches, and of course nationally to, this has kept us on our toes but we are ready for tonights launh at St Giles, my particular favourite Anglican fellowship, I always feel at home there, they follow a similar but not totally way of worship I am more at home with, praise God for the diversity we enjoy, I do recognise there are many ways within the Christian Church to worship God but always feel this is more historically and scripturally nearer the ways of the first churches as we can read in the "some of the ACTS of some Apostles" a more correct title of ACTS as recorded for us in the NEW TESTAMOUNT, well here we go, a different day Friday, weather allowing a visit to look at my favourite sport "motor cycle racing" at Silverstone, so shall be resting in a different environment, am trusting but the forecast is not so good but we shall see. Tuesday 14 September 2010

Tuesday (latish) 14th sept 2010.
A full day again, we have started a new miday prayer time for those who are free during the daytime, I believe this is not only right but the two we have put on so far have in my humble opinion been very fluent ,fully flowing, filled with praise, meditation and petition, I firmly believe that prayer which sadly in the church general is often looked upon as the cinderella rather than the Royalty of all the meetings held, I often quote from a prayer I borrow from the vast resouvoir of Charles Haddon Spurgeon, He said " Prayer is the lubricant that oils the wheels of the wagon that keeps the Church rolling" I can only bow to his wondrous vocabulary, and accept the truth of the prayer, and do all I personally can to prod that movement ever forwards and onwards, It is I firmly believe one of the "almost" lost treasures which is desperately needed in the church of today, my own fellowship included, I accept many do pray faithfully in their own "Closets" but not as many as should, oh that the Church might recapture the sheer joy in communal prayer guided by His Spirit, I'm convinced much of the problems and predjudices would be shattered if we did just as he told us " do not neglect the coming together as some do" we dismiss this warning to our peril, every blessing Pt

Sunday 12th Sept 2010
A good day but very very busy, we witnessed at the "Eastfield Fete" and allthough there was not to many people around we did what we could and it was well worthwhile, our puppet show went down (as usual) very well and young and not so young enjoyed it all, this is a great effort by our young team and I believe that it will not only bless them but many others in the future. theweather held and though extremely windy, was quite warm, after the exertions of the early morning and preperations for todays craft table, which I managed to prepare ready for the day I retired home around four oclock absolutely shattered, so an early night was the order of the day and I slept like a baby and allthough suffering from a heavy cold was suitably refreshed and am ready for the day ahead, seize the day! Tuesday 7 September 2010

We had a wonderfully free evening last night at Hackleton, good fellowship, good food, good fun, and despite the atrocious weather we had to face aftert the evening closed all went well, the roadside water we went through on our way home was so deep in places that one could feel it snatching the driving wheel from ones hands. being just the one side of the car, my nearside hubs must be very very clean after that so at least it does some good, but not something i appreciate driving in the dark with, we are holding a new "Prayer Together" at our church today at Midday, we have many who like myself are free in the daytime, being "Retired" at least from most worldly labours so feel this may be a good alternative to run alongside our Early morning prayer time every saturday morning at 6-30, when many of the workers may enjoy a wee lay in after their weeks labours, God bless them, just finished clearing up outside our bungalows after the wind which at this time of year brings down the pine needles from the giant trees that surround our little close, and boy do they make a mess, never mind keeps me happy and busy as my neighbours sadly are passed doing such chores, so part of my little !"MINISTRY OF LOVE". Praise God, I see The Aussies are now the latest country to be suffering from Flooding, the world does seem to be a crazier place than normal at this time methinks, have a great day to all despite it??.
