I have a busy but varied day ahead of me and the weather seems to be in a better frame of mind to. so off we go together, and enjoy our day, I am trusting to try out my new "TOYS" today as I endevour to complete the first of my new Frames for the Church garden, so aiming for an early start after my early morning shopping etc. cheeri -bye P_

Sunday 28"th February 2010.
Great day yesterday,Aprox 60-70, from a wide diversion of fellowships, turned out for what was a very enlightening, uplifting, and worshipful, day together in what are very good surroundings, provided by ST.GILES CHURCH, which I personally think is the most beautiful Church building we have in Northampton, we were led by pastor Robert Clifford of the Horsham Kingdom life Fellowship. ably assisted by Pastor Debbie Shaw of the Kingdom Life Fellowship, we had four sessions of one hour each, two were led by Robert and one by Debbie, which were so complimentary to each other, that one would have thought that they had conferred beforehand, but not so, but then God is the best arbitrator,so best left to HIM. we concluded with a very beautifully and openly served celebration of"Breaking Of Bread", a profitable day for all and one that was I believe pleasing to the Father, Praise be to HIM,, rather drained a little, mentally but
deliciously so. set up ready to Worship again today at our respective Fellowships, and because I forgot to post this before I left, so had to redo it in the P.M. can confirm this was SO. P

Today we have a special treat, on Tuesday after a telephone call from two very dear Christian brethren. to whom we became Eternal friends many moons ago, got in touch and the consequences are that they will be visiting us for a meal together, and a Loooong!!?? time of fellowship. we havn't seen them for nearly four years and you can imagine we are rather excited at the thought, we first became "friends," when we met at "the JESUS people" in around 1968 -9 when the movement was just beginning, and though we moved on to new pastures, they remained in the Fellowship at Bugbrooke, married and raised ther delightful family,we have met periodically over the years and every time we gather it is it seems only yesterday that we last met, Part of GODS great family way, a mystery but beautiful, it appears very wonderful at this particular moment as they to know Paul and his family so we can share and pray together concerning his present and future times, this it seems to me as part of HIS guiding influence over this matter, I cannot believe it is pure coincidence, but part of the plan.praise Him.
so today will be a morning 's, preparation, for the meal, then ready for their arrival around four pm, as the kids say "cant wait" P

Thursday 25th February.
A very relaxed day yesterday, but one as it worked its way out, quickly became very productive, I bought myself some new "Toys" a circular saw, and a new work bench, to enable me to do those jobs for home and Church more easily, and achieve better results for my labours. so can't wait till daylight today, to try them out. I am revamping my church garden that I began nearly three years ago, what was once a neglected piece of ground outside our Church building, I have been able to transform to a little haven of displaying GODS beauty in the flowers that we now grow there, I have started to replace the flimsy wooden edges to my three sections with more sturdy logging, hence the reason for my new "toys" the sawing of the logging was to much for me just using a hand saw, so in came the electric one, then I felt that I needed something to hold the logging more securely so in came the new bench, I needed them to help me, as I am not as young as I used to be. this old body needs a wee bit of help now and again," the body is willing but the flesh is weak" is truly now evident, have a lovely and trust enlightening Week end ahead, I have decided to attend an "ecumenical" teaching seminar sponsored by ST Giles Church at their buildings to be led by a pastor from "Kingdom Faith" so am expecting great things from that, then in the evening a more relaxed Musically inspired meeting at "KLF Church" a celebration in which one of our many talented musicians from Broadmead, will be taking part, so all in all, an exciting Saturday after my early morning prayer gathering at B,B,C. and then on to SUNDAY whow!!??what an opportunity to gather with others of the same mind, to learn and love together, praise be to GOD, P.

Spent yesterday resting (physically and mentally ) but actually so much was achieved doing just that, and enjoyed. after a really Miraculous week end. which has still not finished with me, it is so wonderful words become redundant when these events occur,so I shall not try to put them down on paper, just live them out to HIS glory, I received so much help in prayer from so many and there is has no word that can convey my thanks, but to let you know,(you will know who I am referring to) I can only say my Love for you all has grown and my trust enhanced by this ongoing Miracle. praise GOD the days of miracles are still with and I firmly believe despite the doubters!! will remain till HE comes. Just pour it on LORD. and carry us through it all to YOUR GLORY, and thank you for allowing us the priviledge and pleasure of just standing by and watching. whow I still cant quite yet ("get my head a round it") and I feel HIM saying even now as I write DEAR PHIL dont even try, just FOLLOW me and believe "There is now NOTHING, that cannot be achieved by prayer. and belief, all He is asking is just follow my lead, I cant resist it HALLELUJHA, there I have said praise God . now for another day to share with HIM and you all, P.

Avery busy day yesterday with a rather late ending, but one that ran so smoothly I could have no doubts whatever, that GOD was in it ALL, every thing went remarkably well, we both, Eileen and I enjoyed our time with Paul, and now are content to leave it all in Gods hands and just wait for His call before we do anything else, I shall ring his parents later and keep them informed, I feel a little weary this morning but very satisfied and rejoicing "the work has begun" so I intend to physically, rest A wee bit today, cheery bye. Monday February 22nd 2010.
Yesterday at my Church before the service I was introduced to a "new comer" who it quickly became apparent we both new each other from a former time we both shared at Bugbrooke Thirty years ago, with the people who became known as "The JESUS people" after the service we talked at length and he was in need of prayer and spiritual assistance, the out come is that we shall be meeting later at my Church to talk and pray about his situation, and later to introduce him to my "house group"and then take home for tea with Eileen (who to knows him )and further discussions and possible future steps. I have asked my own Brother in Christ a fellow Church member, my trusted "prayer partner"and another couple who are increasingly becoming important partners in Christ, a union Both Eileen and I hope will grow and become equally important to us both. today's plans now have had to be revamped and now promises to be very BUSY, so I intend to make a very early start. cheery bye P.

Sunday 21st February 2010.
Yesterday was a good day, after early prayer at my church, I did a wee bit of shopping and then treated myself to a "Full Monty" breakfast at "the Giggling Sausage"in Far Cotton, a small but highly commended cookery establishment whose speciallity is, as its name suggests "Breakfasts"
very very good, not some thing I normally do (eat cooked breakfast ) but once in a while I think is OK. When I arose this morning all was quiet, then around 5-30ish SNOW, and now every where looks really beautiful, but trust it wont be to heavy. so I shall just enjoy it until I have to leave for Church early as it is my turn on duty this morning so there is much to do, but enjoying it all praise GOD. cheery bye for now.

A very full day yesterday, much accomplished in the morning, then we were off to enjoy a very substantial meal at at our Church, specially prepared for "The Seniors" all done by our young team of very dedicated people, In my humble opinion it was the best yet and would easily have graced the finest restaurant, then off for two lovely hours spent with a dear christian Sister, a time that was both satisfying and enjoyable but was also profitable for all three of us, Praise God, spent a relaxing evening with a little TV. where we with millions of others "found out who killed Archie mitchell", well you have to have a bit of fantasy in life, and it was Good well done BBC,
Early bed (For us), 10 -30, had a peacefull and refreshing sleep ,now am ready to go and join my brethren for Saturday's early prayer meeting. cheerybye for now.

Then of to our "SENIORS" lunch at Church provided by our younger members, really great , no cooking today, we always have a great time as well as being pampered a bit, and hea! why not, part of the few good things of aging!! not many but this is one. then after finishing my "FERRYING" of Seniors homeward,we are invited for tea at another of our Church friends who is recuperating after
a minor operation on her shoulder, again someone who it always a pleasure to visit, then home for a quiet evening I hope, with a little TV, (BIG night for "Eastenders fans" which both Eileen and I are,. well you cant get everything right, GOD bless, and cheeribye, Phil

Good news yesterday, the builder who is to change our bathroom to a wet room, called and offered us two date to commence the project, we then were able to get on the phone to arrange our holiday away, so enabling him the come in and do his "thing", we were unable to get our first choice, which was Pakefield near Lowestoft, where we have been previously four times, but were successfull in booking two weeks at their "premier,"Pontings holiday camp at Prestatyn North Wales. so we are now looking forward to that with a little excitement, we were able there to get a special Handicapped chalet which is a big help for Eileen, so "Thank you Lord"now just 45 days away whoopee, as the kids say "cant wait", I have much to do today, Eileen is "hosting the first of the sewing circle meetings with her friends from Church when they will be working to make things for a Bi-monthly after Church sale, to sell them, they are doing this to help raise funds in aid of our Church's building Fund, while we have as yet not finalised the plan's etc, we know we are looking at a final bill that will certainly exceed, £1,000,000. a ridiculous price for us a Church with aprox 250 congregational membership. But whow, we have a "Ridiculous GOD who specialises in doing "The Impossible"we know all of us are going to have to work HARD, but when He leads the way, Hard things become "Easy", all praise to Him.

Tuesday 16th February 2010,
Had a very full day yesterday, up very early, went to B&Q,as soon as they were open to get my paint to begin the decorating of our Main living room, This was accelerated, by the fact that I have arranged for the delivery of my latest aquistion, the wall unit I bought at Saturday's sale rooms, so I thought that I would get that wall repainted where I intend it be. I decided at that we would change the colour That was formally there and have a new one. I looked at the whole range and decided upon "Fairy dust" a very light pastel shade of Pink, as I think that will make the room "Feel" warmer, so when completed, will be the whole bungalow has been redecorated since Christmas, I am very pleased as just, a few short days ago it would have been IMPOSSIBLE to even THINK about it, and now it is almost completed ,and it has both been a pleasure and so easy to accomplish. HOW great is our GOD, who heals and blesses us so. Light lunch today an old favourite we haven't had for Yonks, Faggotts and gravy with a few lightly cooked vegetables, Then for Todays tea time it has to BE,!!?? PANCAKES, of course, Shrove Tuesday, and then into our" LENTERN" season tomorrow. I do not, attempt to give up ? any thing, a thing I decided upon many years ago but, rather, to add something. and this year it is to have additional time to Pray for "The spiritually oppressed People " of our world. Have a great day every one, P. T. P.

up very early yeserday,5-15, so spent a longer period of quiet time and meditation before beginning the day, after leaving things ready for Eileen to do our lunch today, "braised steak casserole, headed into the cold for my Friday Church chores and a spot on my garden, which is showing early promise, on way home did our shopping for the next few days, then headed of to our local "Auction rooms" or the Friday viewing, they now hold an auction every fortnight, so once more I'm have the relevant "info" for the future sales etc.nothing really caught my eye or imagination, so will wait untill tomorrow to decide whether or not I go to the actual sale, I then went to our local "Farm shop" and was amazed at the changes their since last I went,( my experience still feels like I have come back to life after Two years of abstinence). but OH how TEMPTING it wa so many new products and wares for offer, it was a veritable "Aladins cave"filled with "Goodies" and yes I did succumb with a few temptations to take home, which cheered Eileen very much. A quiet night with a little TV then bed rather early for us 10-20pm about Kn-- rd, but vey satisfied and Happy.

Yesterday was a very satisfying and productive one. after a morning at home, spent redecorating our kitchen, I managed to complete the walls with a fresh coat of its present colour (green) then putting a new border up that gave it variety and a nice finish, Eileen and self very satisfied, completed in time to cook what I felt and Eileen accepted, as a nice meal for lunch. ( Honey glazed Pork chops with apple sauce, Sweet potato, Roast potato's, carrots, peas, swede, and Onion Bhargi's) not my own I confess' but brought from Asda, very tasty to I do recommend them, I then decided that it was time to purchase a new "Microwave oven, ours was about on its last legs, so bought one from "Curry's" and glad to say Eileen was we delighted with it, only remains now to read the instruction so we can effectively use its many operations??,whow!! the pamphlet is Loooooong.!! but we shall get there, and it will i'm sure be an asset in the days ahead, after picking up a few plants for my Church garden, which I aim to plant (weather permitting) later today, I then decided to renew aquaintances with a lttle hobby of mine that due to illness I have not pursued for the last two years, namely looking around one of our local "Auction Rooms, not being aware of when they were trading. I picked up the information and found out (luckily for me) that this Friday and Saturday were the dates for their next event, so I intend to mosy over Today and have a look around. I do enjoy, a good brouse around (something inherited from my Father) he loved Jumble sales(sadly no longer it seems part of our modern way of life) he would have loved the "Auction rooms of today, so I'm really following an instinct handed down through my Genes,
I don't purchase a lot, I do most of my BARGAIN finding?? in the many "Charity shops" we have in great abundance around us, which I pop into almost every time I am out, Eileen says" I never know what He's going to turn up with next" I do enjoy these little forays, and I have been successful (My opinion) in some of my "Bargains"?? Eileen thinks "well it keeps him out of mischief" so good on him. cheery bye for now.

Thursday 11th February
Yesterday I tried my hand at a spot of baking, after doing my voluntary work at my church in the morning when all though the day was bitterly cold with snow showers, all the time I did manage to get the outside windows cleaned, and a few bits and pieces, after visiting my sister and had cleared up after our delicous lunch which Eileen had cooked for us, I got out the ingredients to have a go at producing an "Irish soda bread loaf,"and while that was cooking in our "REMOSKA" cooker then made a dozen or so "Chocolate chip cookies, the result I felt was very good with compliments from Eileen and a "PASS mark. I took some of each to one of my neighbours , a widow of 83 who is quite an accomplished cook herself, and said I hope you enjoy them, and tomorrow (which is now today) let me Honestly know what she thought, so await with trepidation her answer, one big plus the house smelt gourgeous with the aroma of fresh bread, and I am encouraged enough to have another go perhaps next week. more decorating this morning i think while i@m in the "Mood.

and home for lunch, THE this am
Another great day yesterday with more good news, we have been informed our application to have our bathroom completely revamped, has been granted and will take place as soon as as the contractor can do it which we believe will be weeks rather than months, so we shall have to vacate the bungalow for the revamp period which takes around 7__8 days to accomplish, so we are going to arrange a holiday to cover that period when we get the exact date from the builder, the revamp, we have seen one of our neighbours who have had theres done and its marvellous, they rip out everything and replace with new flooring , ceiling, fully tiled walls, and high seated toilet, and a new suite all round no bath but a high power shower unit, we are very excited by it all. both the thought of a holiday and the new Wet room, as it will help Eileen particuarly with her needs and will be a blessing to her, I to shall be very pleased, I shall occasionally miss the bath as I love to lay and soak ,but the new will be so much better all round. we are extremely thankfull, and over the moon!! cleaned out our hall cupboard yesterday, sorted everything and discarded what is no longer of use redecorated it and reffiited it with everything in new transparent plastic box's it looks great and I am very pleased with it and Eileen to, a job well done""
Off to my Church today to do a spot of odd jobbing, well I am an odd bod really. windows will be my main aim today outside, weather permitting inside if not . then a visit to my sister at moulton
then this afternoon , a new project we are going to try and bake our own bread, we have tried in the past with mixed results, but this time will be better as we now have more time at hand, Irish Soda bread, will be our first attempt, I have all the required ingredients and the recipe, and above all "The desire " so will let you know how we got on Later Bye for now.

Yesterday was a very good day everything, went so smooth and easy that much was accomplished and great satisfaction in that which was achieved, bitterly cold day with intermittant snow showers but they did not settle, Eileen was visited by our "PASTOR,"and together celebrated Holy Communion, I was able to join them as My home group was cancelled at the last minute due to ill health (only minor) praise God. so I was at home to share with them, always a wonderful time, she greatly looks forward to these times, so during it I discretely left them, for a spell to give them time alone, but then came back to them as they concluded, one other great great happening yesterday I had decided to sell my car and buy a new one. and yesterday did just that. and praise God got a better deal than I could have both thought I would and believed I might all glory to Him, should arrive in aprox six weeks time great night at the third of our"freedom in Christ" series. A great evening for all and received much enlightenment, fellowship, and FUN. what a God we serve AND ENJOY. home by (9-30 ish, after a chat with my beloved , bed at 11=00pm shattered but rejoicing.

February, 6th 2010
Early start today, after me home "quiet times etc I headed of to join the Saturday Early prayers at my Church.for a 6-30 start, after a rewarding time together, seven of our members were there, we left in high spirits to follow our own individual lives, I went shopping at one of my regular supermarkets, to pick up a few items we might need over the next few days, then visited another of my favourite shops "Its a gift" a place I call a"a little surprise House"for one or two things to help with my decorating. next door to pick up a "Bath bomb" a perfumed addative to my Bath a little bit luxury I sometimes treat myself to. why not we all love a bit of pampering, and if I say so myself I have worked hard this week something I shall soon be unable to do as we are having our bathroom "vamped" and it will be transformed into a Wet room with a special shower, which will my wife as she is handicapped and finds that getting into the bath to use the shower we inserted when we first moved, so it will be a great asset mainly to her, but while I will miss my bathtimes, it will be very nice all round. I managed to plant some new bulbs Parrot tulips and gladiola, both of which I have placed under the window She sits by to use her compie so they will brighten up her view, come spring time they should be a grand sight. Now watch the "RUGBY" my side Wales, play England and is keenly contested as my friend at church is a vehement England supporter, so one of us will face a drubbing tomorrow, I hope its not me but we enjoy our banter, a look at the semi-final of "so you think you can dance" BBC tv very exciting , then of to bed around 11-30 and finish a very satisfying day Praise God.

Feb 3rd 2010
Rose 5-45am to a dismal damp start to the day with the forecast showing more rain over the next few days, pleased to say my attempt cooking wise of yesterday was successful and the steak and kidney pie was delicious, with few mistakes but have remembered them and trust learned from them for the future
Eileen helps but is increasingly finding that the times she is standing are increasingly painful, so to I comes the responsibility for the cooking etc, which I am happy to do. a quick stew today as I have to take her to the hospital for her regular Eye check up later, first I am going to do a lttle shopping, to get more Border to complete the bedroom decoration. and a new extension for our door bell as neither of us hear it if we are in the kitchen or bedroom, also some new Pansies to replace the ones the bitter frosts of January spoiled, plus some more daffodil bulbs, On friday I sowed a few seeds for use later at home and for my Church garden. mesanbrythium, (I'm sure that's not correctly spelled but will do) we grow these each year usually buying them as plants, so this year we are trying to raise them from seed, I am keeping them in a cupboard that is over our cooker and therefore always quite warm. we shall see, bought some more yesterday but to early to sow yet, off to complete another of my church chores of love, cleaning the windows,so of we go to start the cheeribye.

Feb 2nd 2010
The day stated at 6-00 with no frost and a return to rain which was pleasing to see,
out early shopping for a border to put up in our front hallway, which I found at B&Q Far cotton also tempted by some early garden bulbs, so bought some for our little piece of garden and some for my Church garden. our hairdresser is due at 10-00am so get the bits and pieces she needs,
for her,and then to the kitchen to bake a steak and kidney pie for lunch with vegetables, my first attempt at pastry for many years but very confident, as I readily confess I bought the pastry (Puff) at the supermarket. and prepared the meats yesterday in readiness. really enjoying my cooking now my Depression has gone, indeed I am flying very very high Praise be to GOD. later I hope to finish the hallway and possibly one more wall in the bedroom, I do owe an E/Mail to TP so hopefully get that in to before restful evening with a little bit of TV , as last evening I was out at Church for the 2nd session of a new course we are running "freedom in Christ)the first one last was both enjoyable and instructive, and well attended by fifteen people, of which three came from other churches than our own which again is very encouraging. the course will take fifteen weeks to complete , with on whole Saturday towards the end . what
that entails remains a mystery, very exciting, how great that we can find the things of God really exciting, which is truly should always have been but sadly this was more often than not the case,
Praise God we are Moving on.

When I got up this morning ( 5-45 am) I was greeted by the sight of a slight layer of the dreaded white stuff (snow); but it will be gone very soon thank goodness that's the way I don't mind it to come. God bless Phil the Pom.
