Thursday march 25th2o10.

After spending nearly three hours waiting at he hospital yesterday to see the specialist for Eileen's annual check up which lasted the whole of three minutes, glad that today we have no need to go out so I went for an early walk instead, very nice to get around while some are still sleeping and the hurly burly of everyday life has not yet begun, there is a certain peace to be found and relished, so today I hope to get my few potato's planted, and carrots, I have managed to squeeze room for just a small crop of each into my little piece of ground more for the fun and joy of watching them grow really, with a large flower pot ready for a few runner beans, and one tomato plant for Eileen, to plant after our break in just over a weeks time now, so today will I trust be a very relaxed one, mainly to enjoy just being alive. great win for my team (Spurs) last night. WE ARE on our WAY to WEMBLEY, HURRAH, PtP.

Sunday 21st march 2010.

Woke Yesterday feeling wretched, full of cold aching in every part of my body, would normally have taken a "toddy" and gone back to bed, but I had a very full day planned, so took the "Toddy" and went to early prayer, came home feeling physically all in. sweating and shivering, but today was the Saturday we all who were partaking the course "Freedom in Christ"" had set aside as the day when we dedicate to the prayerful side of the work. so feeling very "rough" set of to arrive at the church for 9-30, physically suffered during the mornings study, and teaching, but after our lunch break went into the afternoon that was mainly prayer, feeling a wee bit better, and at the end of the day was rejoicing for I had found that the whole day which was quite intense, that I had been able to go through the WHOLE day particuarly the Afternoon that I had been able quite subconciously. to realise that not once was my concentration penetrated, something I cant honestly say I have ever really been able (over a period of some six hours) to experience before. suffice to say that we all had a superb day that met every desire we needed, to be met, was truly supernaturally, received. All praise to GOD. woke this morning after a hot bath and very early night (For us) feeling thouroughly refreshed, ready for a great day together with my brethren, and then lunch out with Eileen, Great W/E. cheery bye, PtP.

Friday 19th March 2010.

Went to the cinema yesterday to see"Alice in wonderland" in 3D, was very impressed with it and greatly enjoyed it, it was the first time for over two years that I have visited the cinema and was so thrilled by it that I decided I mustn't leave it so long before the next time, there are quite a few good (for me ) films coming in this year, so I shall try and find the time occasionally to see one or two of them, A few days when rain could be the order of the day are forecast which will be welcome as we have been dry? for quite some time and the ground is rather dusty,.. so perhaps shall get a bit more done inside, I have so many books that I want to read, a wet spell might just do the trick. also a bit more cookery is in the agenda, have missed trying the new recipes I have earmarked so again maybe will get a chance to have a go at them??. church cleaning, and a nice little job, the secretary sent me an intereting E/mail to ask if I would like to see if I can get a set of communion equipment ( that has just been unearthed) no not literally, just found, that no one knew existed, with a view to sell them at an auction, she will show me them today when I call in, might be interesting?? who knows? but not expecting anything to exciting, we shall see. cheery bye PtP.
Thursday March18th 2010

Very good evening at GT,Billing METHODIST CHURCH for the"OPEN DOORS" evening, sadly the gentleman from "BHUTAIN"who was to be our main speaker was unable to be with us as he was not allowed to leave his country reinforcing the knowledge we already know of the savage oppression many face every day just because they Accept their right to be called Christians, never the less a profitable, informative and prayerful evening, was enjoyed (if thats the right word)?? EILEENS, sewing circle today, so off for an early shop, then on to Sixfields to see at last "Alice through the looking glass" in 3D etc, for the 11-00am showing, a quick "macdonalds" afterwards and then back to get the ladies there well earned (I hope) tea break. I reckon they will be slacking because I am not there, dont tell Eileen I said that, lol. cheery bye PtP.

Wednesday 17th 2010

a reasonably nice morning to start the day a little sun and a lot of cloud but a dry day in prospect but rain is forecast in varying degrees from tomorrow, which will be good to the gardeners of our world, we have to visit the hospital today for Eileen to see the dental expert to hopefully treat her long awaited root extraction, whether today will seethe treatment begin or just to have a look at the problem with a view to fix a date for the future we are not as yet clear but will soon find out
this afternoon I shall try to visit my sister in Moulton, and tonight shall I hope go to hear a representative of "open Doors"an evangelical organization we both support in prayer and
financially, the person who will be there was I believe a muslim who found salvation, through the movement and will be sharing with us "life under islamic regime" with all its hardships and troubles, this is at The Methodist Church" Great Billing, so I shall have a look to see where it is after Eileen's visit, easier than looking for it in the dark tonight, I hope!!. started myfirst "tumbling" stone and rock polishing yesterday, with a view that I can use what is tumbled for many things on the ladies craft stall later this year in aid of our Building fund, we are looking to raise a huge sum of something in excess of £1,000,000. whow it does seem ridiculous but as I keep reminding our "leadership team" we have a "ridiculous God who produces ridiculous
things for HIS "ridiculous people, ( see 1 Pet 2 v9 KJV.)? I havn't done any polishing for over two years now but once again feel the urge. so of they go to tumbling on for two weeks or more?? with nothing to but wait, cheery bye PtP.

Tuesday 16th March 2010

Yesterday started well with a £25-00p reward from "Tesco"a Bonus from them that had gone astray somehow. points we had earned in the past ,So after we had to call off our Home group at the last minute due to illness by four of our team, I persuaded Eileen to get ready and we would go to Tesco and have a luxury shop, with our cheque, which we did, the first visit she has made there for over three years, she was amazed at the changes that have taken place since last she went, for me I rate it as the Best Shopping centre in our Area bar none, every thing one could wish for under one roof beautiful surroundings, and free parking, I firmly believe the days of open markets are almost well and truly dead. this is what people want, so we had a good shop. but spent another forty pounds on top of our "bonus" but came home with quite a few "Tit -bits to use over the next week or so. the variety of goods has now soared to an almost obscene height, considering the state of much of our world, we truly are becoming a little America. so I shall be sorting a few new recipes out for us to enjoy, and this is "lent"!!?? but my feelings towards that changed from the "traditional" many years ago, and since then have been centred on GIVING more than giving up, both in Time and finance, so no guilt feelings. Thank GOD I am not under Law and condemnation, what a difference that made when I reached that position in life. Hair cuts today when our"Girl" comes later. Mine really needs a trim ready for "Easter". Plans advancing rapidly now, OUR CHURCH TREE is finished. and our own almost. so a quieter day today although our "Young un" Cathy comes today for her weekly visit so looking forward to laugh and joke time with her. cheery bye for now, PtP.

Monday 15th March 2010th
Good Day Yesterday not to strenuous, rest was the order of the day my throat was very bad but thankfully did not interfere with my "Sabbath" enjoyed much fellowship with the brethren, but then rested at home for its remainder, did watch the formula 1 first race with great enjoyment and we were given a taste of what promises to be a really interestingly exciting racing year, today is my home group, but not a lot to prepare, we shall be thinking of and looking ahead to our first big project of this year"What would you do if you had only one month to live" we watched a very interesting video at fellowship yesterday where several people were canvassed and asked the question, with as expected, many and varied answers that have and will continue to challenge us as we prepare first as a Church and then as individuals through our respective groups, to respond ourselves. very interesting but thought provoking challenges ahead as we try to be honest and answer the question.

Sunday 14th March 2010.
VERY busy day yesterday that started very early, after our Early morning Prayers, we had a home group leaders meeting to discus the next two months of our programme, in late April and May, we shall be studying and looking at a series called, "ONE month to live" a six week series based on the last month, of Jesus life ,Knowing death was only a short time hence, How did He react etc, and asking ourselves the same question. we had a prolonged discussion and much prayer over the subject, and we all believe this will be not only challenging but stimulating and exciting to. we to are beginning to look at our Fellowship, and the surrounding Church's in our particular area, and how we best can Promote the many events we shall be including ourselves in over "EASTER" A very busy but very exciting time ahead, we shall be organising a march in the area for "Good Friday" an event that always is well supported, and culminating with a combined street service (weather permitting) and after that a full day at our own Fellowship based on the first Good Friday of Easter WEEK END,
much to do but very stimulating and encouraging. first GP formula ! got of to a good start yesterday's practice, lived up to all the expectation we had hoped it would so today's race looks really mouth watering,we shall see,?? also succumbed to the dreaded throat problem that is going the rounds, with many of the brethren suffering, very uncomfortable and a wee bit of pain, but not enough to keep us down, to busy for that praise God. P t P.

Friday 12th March 2010.

A little rain (not a lot) overnight, just enough to damp the ground, yesterday I had an appointment with my "Mind Doctor" sadly she was not there as she is ill, (nothing serious) so I was attended to by her Husband,so it was not quite the meeting I had envisaged, I have seen him before but His wife has been my main contact, but he was delighted with my as he termed "Progress"but in his wife's absense said he felt it best to continue with my present medication until six months, has
passed then to see her and take things from there, so carry on as before !! which I cant argue with.
Today is the day of visiting my local auction rooms as there is a sale scheduled for tomorrow, so I shall go and "Brouse" today I shall mainly now be looking for anything I can find that I can work on as a contribution to add to the "Ladies" craft stall which will be displayed in a month or so at our Fellowship to raise monies for our projected Church building fund, I really enjoy these visits they truly are amazing what one can unearth, real little treasures, I do not have the skills of a real professional collector, but find them fascinating, so look forward to that around early PM
I have a collage Frame that I picked up recently that I am working on to give to the stall, a first attempt at something like that but am very hopeful. cheery bye PtP

Thursday March 11th 2010

Last nights meeting at our fellowship was indeed a glorious time of prayer and praise as we all sought His way forward, it truly was one of the most blessed times that I have experienced for some time, it was indeed Awesome and yet so peaceful, I believe much was achieved and Much ground prepared for future developements for us as a fellowship, and also much new light opened up to us as to when and how we should be moving for HIS KINGDOMS SAKE, I received my new garden chest also so today shall be moving my outside stuff into it, which will free up my inside cupboard to be used as I wish it to be and will be easier to keep it tidy, also today have a meeting with my "Mind doctor " as I call her, and I know she will be pleased with my situation since last we met three months ago and am looking for a reduction if not a complete ceassation of my medication, and while I shall take her advice, and do as I am told, I am intrigued as to how she will face the news of HOW and WHY my whole health situation has changed ?? very interesting!! cheery bye PtP

Wednesday 10th March 2010

A very mixed day yesterday, combining, gardening, shopping, cleaning, cooking, and talking, a very important part of our lives, the cooking part I wanted to try my hand at baking "Eccles cakes" a particular favourite of mine, but have up till now never got around to making, they were not perfect and I made a few mistakes, from which i learned and will use next time, suffice to say they tasted superb and were eaten up inside an hour of cooling, so cant have been to bad I reckon, Must pop to Church this morning as I have some Gladioli to set, which I trust will be colourful in the latter part of spring, my other bulbs are going well both at church and home, and our "Easter trees " are advancing a little each day. we have a "all church prayer call" tonight so shall be gathering with my brethren later today for that with expectancy , eagerness and a little excitement to, which is as it should be! so an early start and off we go after my early morning meditations , also a visit to my youngest grand child and great grandchildren, which will put me in my place and remind me that I am now "Getting On a bit"whow, am I really that old ?? fraid so old chap,in body, but the spirit is still very young, cheerybye P. t. Tuesday March 9th 2010.

A very good day yesterday, I managed to advance a little on all fronts,a little closer to how I wish things to progress, My little garden at home is showing the evidence of my labours, and beginning to be as I would like it to be, I planted a few miore bulbs and dahlias so the spring and summer shows should be colourful and pleasing, also a little more on our Easter trees which now are beginning to take shape, and providing much pleasure and satisfaction in the doing of, if you get my drift, Cathy visits today and brings a breath of fresh air to our lives something we both look forward to very much, there is so much that I want to be doing at the moment and life is so full I sometimes have sit down a just rest in contemplation and meditation,of the wonder of life that is ours to live, we have a Wonderful GOD and Father I am often just lost in wonder at the vastness of his presence, truly as the hymn says LOST in wonder love and praise, and I close on that thought to start my day with him and just say thank you, cheery bye PtP.

Monday March *th 2010.

A sunny bright stars to the day with only a slight frost, so a good oportunity to get a good day in before my house group meet after lunch, We (Eileen and I) are in the process of making "An Easter Tree" or rather two, one for home and one for Church, We make them from Small parts of tree branch and fix them in a pot, Spray them white then decorate them similar to a Christmas tree, but with Eggshells we have saved and paint various colours, then hang them on the tree like bird nests, filled with the small sweet choc eggs and other "Eastery" type things like little chics we bought some time ago, and also a Cross to remind us of the real reason of Easter, but more so to celebrate the "Ressurection" to lfe, so really the tree reminds us of New Life, I was encouraged when I read that Sister C, was going to see "Chitty chitty bang bang the show, I do hope she got and enjoyed it, because it made me think that I would very much like to go and see the new "Alice through the looking glass" film just now beeing released, and It is being shown at the "Odeon" Kettering on ttheir IMAX in 3-Dimensional, so thought great I will go there, this week, as it is the first week of release, but then sadly my diary reminded me that my week was full with no afternoon available, ah well next week I will make a big effort to go
Cheery bye for now P t P.

Sunday 7th March,2010,

After time spent with my prayer partners at fellowship supporting the forty hours of prayer for Mongolia, I spent a lovely day at home yesterday on my little garden, and nearly completed all my winter weeding, and planted some new bulbs, we had our seventh dry day running, quite cold early on, but slightly warmer later on, today I shall rest, with a meeting in the afternoon, attending a support group for two of our fellowship missionaries, working in Turkey, then a restive evening with a little tv, was slightly disapointed yesterday my team, (Tottenham Hotspur"could only draw their FA cup quarter final game at Fulham, but very hopeful we should win the replay at the "Lane" and so go forward to the semi finals, which will be drawn today, a lovely warmish sunny day is forecast and as I write the sun is shining and its looking good, keep on keeping on P t P.

Saturday March 6th 2010.

Great rejoicing yesterday evening when after a hard ,tiring,(Physically) day we received the good news from sister J, her Grandaughter, who suffers severely with a physical problem, that what was thought would be needed( surgery), was in fact able to be accomplished by the surgeon without, and that he was able to show her parents that if this situation reoccurs that they would be able themselves to rectify the problem, which was tremendous news, for which, with them, we "Praise GOD" there was much prayer going on for her yesterday and there will be much rejoicing today at the good news, which leads me neatly into today as I shall be supporting "40 hours of prayer for Mongolia" a much needed period to support JCS, who are sponsoring this move to aid Our brethren in MONGOLIA who are suffering severely from many causes, one of the main reasons among many being, the "DZUD" a more than usual Severe Winter, with tempretures of minus 40c, or lower have been registered, resulting in huge losses of their cattle, which now threatens to bring massive suffering in its wake, this added to their many other problems means a "season" of severity that even they have not felt before, piling up the misery of a very Poor (monetary wise) country, we seek GODS help for their situation, as we pray and help financially to. P t P

Thursday, 4 March 2010

The dawn of another lovely day as I write the sun is shining after a slight frost,no wind and everywhere as that calm look about it. even managed my first bit of getting rid of the winters weeds in my little garden at home, everything is showing much growth, and the promise of the
the beauty and colour yet to come, of to an early start this morning to take full advantage of the day ahead, Made a rather (I thought so) lovely tasting Red wine sauce yesterday with our dinner I followed, religously the information, for the recipe and it was lovely, went well with Lamb medallions and a variety of vegetables, its alway good when one does do what one is told an d the result turns out so well, there is a moral there I think but I will leave the working out to you. Cheery bye P t P.

Thursday 4th march 2010.

Finished my garden border pieces for my church garden, ready to put them down on Friday with a new coating of bark chippings so then all will be ok with many plants in and more in the pipeline
bought quite a few from B/Q yesterday that now need potting on and in time hardening ready for their summer flowering. Eileen's sewing group today, so I can get a bit of E/mailing done as well as being taxi driver, and tea-boy, but I like it (might sort out a little treat for them). have been looking at the motor cycle racing calender, with a view to going to at least two events, Mallory park and Silverstone this year, I only go to practice days as the actual race days are now always on Sundays, and while I have no axe to grind at that, and would not feel guilty if I went, I honestly prefer my Fellowship meeting more, but am happy that I may well go to the two mentioned, its easier to get around on practice days and you get a better chance to meet the riders then than race days, so will be looking forward to those events, grand prix f1 (the cars ) hiits the road in just nine days time whow the break soon went promises to be a terrific battle this season with the great man (Michael Schumacher)racing again that's gotta be good. cherry bye for now. P t P.

Tuesday, 2 March 2010

Wednesday 3rd March2010.

After a very tiring, but rewarding day yesterday, I felt really shattered, so much so, that I could not watch the last 30 minutes of a very interesting football match on TV, went to bed 9-30pm, and slept like the proverbial log, sound, and boy did it do me good, problem was that I was awake 4-30am and couldn't sleep on, so up for a very early start to the day. with more time for my early devotions, very encouraging and satisfying, Hope to complete my garden frames for my church garden today, and hopefully in place by this week end. I also hope to get my little piece of garden at home, weeded, and ready for the coming year. the weather this week has been glorious and promises to stay with us for a while, as we all keep saying "SPRING" is almost here Praise GOD, after what we are being told was the coldest winter for thirty years,??a bit bewildering in the light of belief that our planet is warming up,,I shall leave that to the ones who seemingly know more than I, I do believe they are right, as the evidence seems uncontestable. I take it as it comes that way no disapointments, I am though an optomist were the weather is concerned. it is lovely at the moment, may it continue, Yesterday a group from my fellowship signed up to go on a long Week end break at TURVEY ABBEY,next October, for a spiritual uplift entitled "Listen with Heart and ear" we have been there before, but this will be the first one we shall be staying for two nights, it promises to be good and the company, and surroundings are excellent, peaceful, restful, and quiet, Eileen wont be going and my first reaction to the invitation was no, but she has "persuaded me to "for us both" and it is only a few short miles away and she can keep in touch with me constantly and I could be home in less than an hour if Needed, so I was ready to yes I will go, cheerybye. P
Another bright sunny day yesterday, one in which I completed my first frame for the Church garden, I shall creasote it today and trust shall take it down tomorrow and assemble in its place
also complete the remaining two ready to assemble Friday, potted up my first summer flowers for our little piece of garden, Blood red geraniums my favourite colour, and some trailing Fuschias, they are resting in our bathroom at the moment until I can harden them of later outside, I have a few other seeds to sew and trust they to will have their place in the sun at home and at church, another lovely day forecast after a sharp frost a sunny almost windless day and no rain hurrah, so we can get at it early, superb meeting last evening with my bretren we are now almost half way on the course, Cathy visits today so will fetch and carry her, we love to have her come and she provides a fresh and lovely aura to our lives, still praying and hoping that one day we shall see them both again, that will be heaven, cheery -bye P.
